Celebratory Best Practice
My job is to help prepare students for academic assessments and challenges just like an athlete prepares for a game or a musician prepares for a concert. Class is like practice time where the students learn new skills and practice existing skills repeatedly so they feel confident and can perform to the best of their ability. My hope is that the practices of preparation and a belief in themselves will translate to all aspects of their life.

Instructional Best Practice
As someone who has spent a majority of my professional career in the Financial Industry, I have always enjoyed teaching and providing opportunities to the people I have served. I am very excited to bring that passion to helping the students at Lake Success Academy reach their potential both in the classroom and in their future endeavors. My experience has taught me that the more I can learn about a person, the better I can ask important questions and relate subject matter specifically to them. It is no different in the classroom. While students are taught in a group setting, education is a very personal relationship. The academic lessons are important, but just as important are the lessons that help develop a student’s character and can assist in the success of their future endeavors.
