Mr. Brooks

English Language Arts

Although Mr. Brooks is still relatively new to teaching, he comes from a family of accomplished educators. His older sister is a dean, younger sister a math teacher, mother a counselor, maternal grandmother an English teacher, and paternal grandmother a communications professor at FSU. With this wealth of experience supporting him, Mr. Brooks received the 2022-2023 Rookie Teacher of the Year Award. Mr. Brooks’ philosophy of teaching is to never speak to students with a “different voice”, to speak to students with the same voice and respect as adults, so that they are better prepared for the adult world.
