Our School

Located in the heart of central Florida, Lake County spans 1,156 square miles.  Lake County School District serves the educational needs of over 43,500 students through the dedication of over 5,500 employees.  The Lake County has nineteen elementary schools, ten middle schools, eight high schools, and one alternative school.  Lake Success has partnered with the Howey Market, Howey Library, and the Howey Dept of Police in bringing a welcoming atmosphere for our students.

Lake Success Academy is an alternative school that serves students from all middle and high schools throughout the county with a subpopulation of White (50%), Black (40%), and Hispanics (10%) students.  100% of our students are economically disadvantaged , and 60% are ESE.  Lake Success first opened it's doors for 2018-2019 school year.  Lake Success is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement.

The academic program is delivered through a four-period day.  Students may accelerate through Lake Virtual School, Florida Virtual School, or Edgenuity.  Lake Success offers all the core courses students will need to graduate with a standard diploma.  Lake Success does not limit the number of courses a student can take provided that he/she is on track for their target year of graduation with a GPA of 2.0  or better.
